Hello, my name is Tanya Mahendra, I am a fashion enthusiast, entrepreneur, and a travel lover. I always try to help people to look and feel their best. What is your main source of inspiration when it comes to staying up to date on the fashion industry? A lot of my inspiration comes from fashion shows, fashion magazines, celebrity styles, fast fashion retailers etc but It is not just limited to that I tend to take inspiration from anything and everything around me like artwork, street style, history books or a film. What would you say is the major difference between Indian and Western girl style? With the ease of internet access, the advent of fast fashion and globalization, the gap between Indian and Western girl style has become minuscule. Now everything is available on the web. Just by a single click, one can get all the information about what’s going around. Instagram came as a revolution, without physically being present in London or Paris, one can see the live streaming of the fashion shows. The only difference might be that we still prefer to dress a little modest and don’t believe in too much skin show. At the moment, are there any certain trend/style you are loving? I am obsessing about a lot of different trends lately, few of them are a. Anything in color red – I am in total love with red color, one looks very powerful and chic when they dress up in all red. b. Suitings – I have been obsessed with this trend, I bought so many of suits already, and I am sure this trend is here to stay. c. Glitter Boots – This season is all about glitter, shine, being a little extra, this is the best time to explore all possible ways to dress up in glitter shoes, dress or even a jacket. d. Feather – This has never been out of trend but yes this season it is in all rage. I am a lover of leather and fur well only faux. Can you tell us about your blog and what inspired you to start it? My blog is all about the latest fashion updates, upcoming trends must visit places, tips, and tricks. My personal fashion statement and how one can incorporate the various trends in their day to day life. I always used to love talking about the clothes, footwear, latest trends and how one should never stop learning and traveling. How anyone can look stylish and trendy without burning a hole in their pocket and then my friends suggested me to talk about all this to a larger audience and that is how I actually started my blog. Do advertisers send you a sample of their goods to feature? Yes, of course, many brands do send their products to get my honest feedback and if I like it then I do feature them on my website and social media platforms, so that my followers can check beforehand whether is it worth to buy those products or not. Where do you find inspirations for your blog post? For my blog posts, I take inspiration from whatever is trending which comes from Fashion Shows, Magazines and celebrity styles etc or at times what is classic. I always want my followers to stay up to date regarding what is in and what is out of the fashion and also how can they style one thing in a lot of different ways. What’s your next fashion must have? Since core set belt trend is going to be out in 2018, but still we need something nice to cinch our stomach and highlight our other body parts. So, for that my next fashion must-have will be broad belts. Message for our readers? Always remember, every individual is different, never compare yourself with others. Something which looks good on one might not look good on other. So always take inspiration. Never copy! You are unique and special, you don’t have to do what the other person is wearing or doing, definitely take inspiration but customize it in your own way. Stay strong and happy.
